The L word - Episode 211 - "Loud and Proud"

With only 2 more episodes left in this season we are finally getting to some core issues of our two most mysterious roomies, Shane and Jenny. Thank god! At last we are getting to the nitty-gritty concerning Jenny's tragic past with yet another carnival montage; this time alluding to what seems like a childhood rape scene. Everything is still so very cryptic and dark but I am getting the feeling that ever since the violation and heartbreak surrounding Mark's hidden cameras, shit has begun to seriously unravel for our favorite love to hate character.... Included in this weeks episode was paper dolls, pictures of clowns with razor sharp teeth, chanting Hebrew and failed attempts of S&M , but the pieces of this insane puzzle are starting to fall into place. I believe Jenny Schecter has officially gone off the deep end..... And we are going to hear all about it very soon.

Shane decides to confront Jenny about staying in the house with her, despite all the trouble, because she is happy there and likes her a whole bunch. Jenny wants to know what will happen about Carmen... Shane says "nothing".... Jenny insists that they belong together. Shane then makes Jenny watch the "Mark Interviews" where she goes off about never getting close to anyone... Never loving anyone. Jenny tells Shane she's "Not scary" - Then they snuggle very cute like... The trust factor has returned. Subconsciously they realize how fucked up they both are. There obviously is comfort in numbers.
By the end of the episode, after stewing in her standoffishness, Shane walks up to Carmen at the Gay Pride Dance and Tells her about her childhood Dog named Remedy, her estranged brother, and her undying love for her deadbeat mother. Clearly overwhelmed, Carmen's beautiful eyes well up with tears and she takes off without saying a word. - Could it be Too little Too Late for our resident heartthrob?! -

Earlier on, our favorite Role Playing couple, Dana and Alice, are humping away on the couch - this time dressed up as a French Maid and a poshly dressed millionaire. With her leg propped on Dana's shoulder, Alice professes her love just as the doorbell rings. Turns out it is Howie, Dana's dorky little brother. He's there for Gay Pride weekend, but waits until later to drop that bomb. So it seems there is a good 3/4 of Fairbanks Pride now.
Finally after a few tense hours of premature doubt, a drunken Dana finally says I LOVE YOU back to Alice at a very gay looking Gay Pride Dance at the Planet. All is lovey-dovey for the time being.....
(Hmmmmm, One hole in the plot I've been wondering about lately - Doesn't "Lara the soup chef" work at the planet now?... And why doesn't Dana know yet? Hmmmmmm......)

Meanwhile, across Town, Bette and Kit are taking shifts down at the hospital because it turns out their Daddy, Melvin, is on his last legs with advanced Prostate Cancer that he is refusing treatment for. Tina shows up with flowers and Melvin tells her to "put them on his grave" and Bette is visibly upset. Later, in a show of what I would call Love, good ol' "T" shows up with a change of clothes and a meal for Bette..... But when Bette asks if Tina will return the next day she says "NO... I'm hanging with Hell-in-a-pea-body." Bette is crushed yet again, but holds a brave face. The new SUPER Pregnant Alpha Tina replies "one step at a time Bette...."
- O.K. then Tina, we will wait... Sounds like perfect season finale material to me....
